The work of Tennessee’s Road Team is made possible by the many generous companies and individuals who provide financial support to show their commitment to safety and enhancing a positive image for the transportation industry and drivers.
Tennessee’s Road Team is a highway safety education program sponsored by Tennessee Trucking Foundation (TTF), the non-profit, charitable arm of Tennessee Trucking Association (TTA).
This small group of professional truck drivers with outstanding driving skills, remarkable driving records, and a desire to spread the word about highway safety talk to the media, schools, business groups and civic organizations about the trucking industry. They educate motorists on how to safely share the road with large trucks and commercial vehicles.
Many of the Road Team Captains have more than one million miles of accident-free driving. They share safe driving tips and teach their audiences how to share the road with an 18-wheeler using the U.S. Department of Transportation’s “No-Zone” program.
